Don't Miss the 6th Annual Tree Seedling Giveaway in Wake Forest NC!

Wake Forest NC Annual Tree Seedling Giveaway! - March 5, 2011

You MUST mark your calendars for this Annual event!  The Wake Forest Urban Forestry Board has scheduled their "Tree Seedling Giveaway" for Saturday, March 5th from 8am - 11am (or until all the seedlings are gone) and this is an incredible opportunity to add to your landscaping and give back to the environment.  This event is in its 6th year and every year past has had a tremendous turnout so, speaking from experience, you'll want to get there EARLY! A sampling of the tree seedlings available this year are:
  • Green Ash
  • Mockernut Hickory
  • Eastern Redbud
  • Crape Myrtle
As in years past there will be Certified Arborists on hand to answer your questions and assist you in choosing the correct tree for your particular landscaping.  One awesome new change in how the tree seedlings are distributed this year is that The Wake Forest Urban Forestry Board asks that you bring your own reuseable shopping bag, tote or other environmentally friendly bag for when you take your tree home!  How fantastic is that?  Nice to see the Wake Forest Urban Forestry Board taking the protection of the environment even further by reducing the UFBs in plastic bags to distribute the tree seedlings. So, grab your calendar and here is the When and Where:
